Bag of the type comprising two handles 1 for carrying it by hand and a strap 2 rendered integral with the bag for carrying it slung across the shoulder, characterised in that the strap comprises, preferably in the vicinity of each of its points of attachment to the bag, a means, such as a button 4 cooperating with a means, such as pressure means 5 fixed on the corresponding side of the bag, each means and their reciprocal positions being such that, for carrying the bag by means of its handles, they are engaged and ensure the correct holding in position of the strap on the bag and that, for carrying the bag slung across the shoulder, a simple pull or shake applied to the strap is sufficient to disengage them from one another, the strap then becoming available for carrying the bag slung across the shoulder. <IMAGE>
