PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the acceptability of ink by making one layer of ink receptor layer in a recording material for ink jet into a particle-containing ink receptor layer containing inorganic particles and/or organic particles and a hydrophobic organic binder, and providing an anchor coat layer between the ink receptor layer and the base material. SOLUTION: An ink receptor layer provided on the base material of a recording material for ink jet is made into a layer constitution of one layer or more, and one layer thereof is provided with a particle-containing ink receptor layer containing inorganic particles and/or organic particles and a hydrophobic organic binder, and further, an anchor coat is furnished between the ink receptor layer and the base material. Thus a recording material for ink jet can be obtained with good water resistance and enhanced strength in the ink receptor layer. As an anchor coat layer, one containing a hydrophobic organic binder and/or inorganic particles and/or organic particles is used, and the anchor coat layer is formed by a method of coating and drying the organic solvent solution of a hydrophobic organic binder on the base material. |
