ACRYLIC FIBER FOR ARTIFICIAL HAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acrylic fiber for artificial hair remarkably better in separating properties than those of a conventional acrylic fiber for the artificial hair, excellent in combing properties and having a soft touch feeling with a waxy feeling and a natural gloss. SOLUTION: This acrylic fiber for artificial hair is obtained by applying an emulsified dispersion prepared by adding (B) a silicone-based oil agent in an amount of 0.1-10 wt.% based on the solid content to an oil agent consisting essentially of (A) a polyamine-polyamide-based softener which is, e.g. a compound represented by the formula (a polyamine-polyamide epichlorohydrin adduct and R<1> s are each a 15-25C alkyl or the like) in an amount of 0.05-2.0 wt.% based on the fiber dry weight expressed in terms of the solid content as an oil agent for a synthetic fiber thereto. Separating properties which are defects of acrylic wet spun fibers of a thick denier can remarkably be improved to afford a soft touch feeling with a waxy feeling, improve combing properties and prevent entanglement at the hair tip when combing the hair.
