摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load applied to the steering transmission system by restricting the transmission ratio variation operation in accordance with the conditions of steering of the steering wheel and turning of the turning wheel, and by prohibiting the restriction of the operation when the turning amount detected by a turning detection means has reached or exceeded a fixed amount. SOLUTION: An upper end of an upper steering shaft 12a is connected to a steering wheel 10, and a lower end of the upper steering shaft 12a is connected to the input side of a variable gear ratio unit 14. To the output side of the variable gear ratio unit 14, an upper end of the lower steering shaft 12b is connected. The variable gear ratio unit 14 is a transmission ratio variable means that varies transmission ratio between a steering amount of the steering wheel 10 and a turning amount of a turning wheel 24. The variable gear ratio unit 14 is connected to an electronic control unit 30 via a motor driver 38, and is operated based on a control signal given by the electronic control unit 30. With this, the steering transmission is downsized and durability therein is improved.</p>
