<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreating device for methane fermentation by which the foreign matter is efficiently removed by a simple constitution, and the methane fermentation efficiency is improved. SOLUTION: The waste such as garbage, night soil and various sludges contg. org. matter is crushed by a crushing means. The crushed material is charged into a storage tank 1, agitated and mixed by a pulper-type screw agitator 2 to obtain a conditioned material 3 having a specified content of water. A first stop valve 5 is opened, and the conditioned material 3 is spirally discharged through the transport pipe 6 inclined at an angle of 30 deg. to horizontal and tangentially connected to the bottom. The conditioned material 3 is allowed to pirally flow into the separation tank 7 to which the transport pipe 6 is connected at the upper part of the periphery tangentailly in the conditioned material 3 discharge direction, and a heavy foreign matter 9 is precipitated. The supernatant liq. is introduced into the screw press 20 through the pipe 18 opened almost in the center of the separation tank 7 and separated into the light foreign matter and the filtrate to be methane-fermented. The heavy foreign matter 9 is conveyed by a screw conveyor 13 and cleaned to collect the filtrate to be methane-fermented.</p> |
