<p>PURPOSE:To prevent rust formation on a front fender and improve external appearance by installing, onto the peripheral edge part of a front fender, a spacer which is made of the material permitting the coloring to the chassis color and is attached onto a molding installed onto the peripheral edge of a front window glass. CONSTITUTION:A front window glass 3 is fixed at the opened peripheral edge part formed from a front pillar 1, cowl grille 2, and a roof panel. A gate shaped decoration molding 6 is installed onto the peripheral edge part of the glass 3, and the molding 6 extends into a front fender 5, allowing the lower edge part along the front pillar 1 to keep a certain interval from the edge of the front fender 5. With such constitution, the basic part of a spacer 8 whose top edge makes contact with the molding 6 is attached by a thermosetting adhesive 9 onto the inner edge part of the front fender 5. The spacer 8 is formed from the material which can color it to the chassis color (front fender 5), e.g., PBT.</p> |
