PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by an ultrasonic diagnostic equipment using a probe with an acoustic lens layer. SOLUTION: A pass point P1 of an ultrasonic wave passage on the acoustic lens layer surface 22 is calculated so as to make the sum of a time the ultrasonic wave generated by each vibrator A1 passes through the acoustic lens layer 6 and a time the ultrasonic wave propagates through an organism outside to reach the focus F minimum, and the ultrasonic wave passage is found. The found passage is generally refracted at the acoustic lens surface 22. By calculating the delay quantity between vibrators on an electric focus based on the passage, the refraction at the acoustic lens layer 8 is corrected to improve the accuracy of the focus. The focus accuracy is also improved by a similarly calculated delay quantity. By those means, a tomographic image of an organism with good distinction can be obtained. |
