PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recalculation(EGR) system with a simple constitution capable of carrying out the EGR in the optimum rate regardless of a supercharged state. SOLUTION: In a supercharged engine 1, each cylinder 2 is provided with two intake ports 3, 4. Where, the supercharged engine 1 is provided with a first intake manifold 5 connected to one intake port 3, a second intake manifold 6 connected to the other intake port 4, and an exhaust turbocharger 8 for feeding air to both the intake manifolds 5, 6. A pressure regulating valve 12 is provided to adjust the pressure of one intake manifold 6. The intake manifold 6 controlled in its pressure by the pressure regulating valve 12 is connected via an EGR passage 13 to an exhaust passage 7. The result allows the EGR on-demand to an operation even at the high-load region having high intake pressure. |
