<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface lighting device of a vehicle, capable of drastically improving visibility of a driver's own vehicle from a following vehicle. SOLUTION: A road surface lighting lamp 8 provided on the lower part of a rear bumper 7 is lighted on by being interlocked with tale lamps or brake lamps, and the road surface G just below the rear bumper 7 is lighted. Since the area of the lighted part of the road surface G is much larger than the light emitting areas of the tail lamps or the brake lamps, and not only visibility to a driver's own vehicle is improved but also misjudgment of the distance viewed from a following vehicle is hardly generated. Moreover, since the lighted part of the road surface G is just below the tail lamps, it is not obstructed by rear wheels Wr or a boot lid on the vehicle rear part, and visibility is not deteriorated. Moreover, since the road lighting lamp lights the lower part of the vehicle, the limit of a design of the vehicle can be avoided by providing the road surface lighting lamp on the lower surface of the vehicle so as to be hardly seen from the outside.</p> |
