PURPOSE:To increase the replacing workability of a bit, lengthen the excavating distance, and increase the excavating accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A shielding machine is provided with a shielding excavator body 13, an end plate 30 provided at the front end, a cutter 50 excavating the ground by a driving means 40 equipped at the front. Bits 51 excavating the ground are fitted to a spoke 52 in the cutter 50 and an extensible shaft 54 is fitted to the spoke and connected to the driving means 40 through a connection member 55 and a support member 31. An opening 32 freely projecting or contracting the spoke 52 is provided at the end plate 30. A slit opening plate 33 to open or shut the opening 32 is contained in the end plate 30. Accordingly, Since the slit opening plate is closed, the shielding excavator is enclosed, and then the bits are replaced within the shielding excavator, the bits can be perfectly and easily replaced and further, the excavating distance becomes longer. |
