SOLUTION: The leading end of a sheet 200 is abutted to the nip part formed by a feed roller 109 and a pinch roller 110 to take registering and, thereafter, the rotation of a paper supply roller 19 is resumed at a point of time slightly faster than the start of the rotation of the feed roller 109 and, when the feed roller 109 and the paper supply roller 19 are rotated at the same time, the peripheral speed of the paper supply roller 19 is made faster than that of the feed roller 109 by 5-50%.
