PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain braking force by an auxiliary brake by stopping auto- cruise control druing operation of a foot brake, and continuing operation of the auxiliary brake. SOLUTION: When it is determined that a foot brake is in operation and an auxiliary brake interlocking mode is kept, one (1) is put in an interlocking mode flag and setting is made by a switching means 103, then changeover to an auxiliary brake interlocking mode is made. Thereafter, even if auto-cruise control is released when a brake switch is put on in concomitant with operation of the foot brake, the auxiliary brake interlocking mode is continued. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent operation of the auxiliary brake from being released for abrupt decrease in the braking force caused by the foot brake pedal depressed by foot at the down slope running of a vehicle in the auxiliary brake interlocking mode, and prevent generation of unpleasant feeling in a driver. |
