PURPOSE:To enable an engine to be used for both normal operation and emergency operation, by automatically switching fuel from gas to liquid and controlling its supply operation through a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:An engine is equipped with a gas mixer 2 and a governor 3 serving as a gas fuel supply system while with a fuel tank 4, pump 5, injection valve 6 and a carburetor device 7 serving as a liquid fuel supply system. And a microcomputer 9, which inputs a signal from a vacuum sensor 10 mounted to the engine 1 and a commercial power supply cutoff signal, gas pressure decrease signal, etc. and feeds a signal to the pump 5, carburetor device 7, governor 3, mixer 2 and valves 12 or the like, performs an automatically switching operation from gas fuel Gf to liquid fuel Lf while automatically controls the supply of each fuel in accordance with each operative condition.
