PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety in the operation when the both operating states where the operating direction of a shift operating tool is the accelerating direction and the decelerating direction are detected caused by a failure of an operating state detecting means. SOLUTION: When both operating states where the operating direction of a shift lever 26 is the accelerating direction and the decelerating direction are detected, and electric motor 23 for applying assist force to the operation in the normal and reverse directions of a shift lever 2 of a continuously variable transmission 3, and a controller for operating the electric motor 23 on the basis of the detected information of a pair of pressure sensitive switches 27, 28 so that assist force may be applied in the operating direction of the shift lever 26 operates the shift lever 26 to the decelerating side until it reaches the raveling stopping position regardless of the detected information of the pressure sensitive switches 21, 28, and the operation in the accelerating direction of the electric motor 23 is not performed. |
