PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the corrosion of apparatus and piping in a system and to make the entire of a treatment system compact and simple, by using a flash type heat exchanger for passing heat medium vapor as crossflow to a refrigerant flowing horizontally in heat transfer tubes. SOLUTION: An org. solvent is fed by a transfer pump 4 to an object to be treated in a PCB extraction vessel 1 where PCB is extracted. The extracted PCB is sent together with the org. solvent by the transfer pump 3 to a distillation column 2 where the PCB is separated by distillation and thereafter, the org. solvent is returned by the transfer pump 4 to a PCB extraction vessel 1. Further, the extracted PCB is mixed with circulating water 33 and makeup water 34. The mixture is pressurized by a pressurizing pump 13 and is heat exchanged with the fluid emerging from a reactor in the flash type heat exchanger 14 and is then introduced into a primary reactor 60. The circulating water mixed with an aq. Na2 CO3 soln. 12 and hydrogen peroxide water 11 is introduced into a primary reactor 60. The reaction liquid obtd. in this reactor is sent to a liquid cyclone 64 where the solid is separated. |
