The present invention relates to a device allowing better regulation of sleep by programming waking as a function of personal biological rhythm. It comprises a case 1 in which are set an alarm clock 2 and a programmable clock 3 intended to receive programmed disks 4. A programmed memory 5 can display the time at which the next sleep cycle is to commence. The unit is powered up by virtue of a switch 11. The clock 3 comprises an electronic device with program reader 7 which, at the end of the program, enables us to be "gently" woken at the opportune moment, by virtue of a lamp 8, a bell 9 or any other device 10 which can use some sense other than those of sight and hearing. The disks 4 are programmed as a function of our biological cycle and of the number of cycles selected. This device can be miniaturised and incorporated in any kind of watch or alarm clock. Charts can give, for each duration of the cycle, the waking time as a function of the probable time of falling asleep. This device which is the subject of the invention is intended for anybody desiring to regulate their sleep better, at home or on the move, so as to avoid "waking with a start", upsetting the rhythm which causes various forms of trauma, stress, fatigue and difficult days. <IMAGE>
