The inflatable life-saving raft is for use in maritime emergencies and is stored in an empty and folded state in a cylindrical container together with a gas bottle and emergency equipment. The container is lifted downwards into a holder basket (11), which retains and fixes it without being lashed during the normal voyage of the ship. The holder basket is placed on a fixture frame (12) with roller rails and is locked to the frame with pins. It can be withdrawn by a lever arm (8) and a link bar (9). In the event of an emergency, the lever arm is drawn to the side, releasing the holder basket, which under the force of gravity rolls until the raft container tips outwards and falls into the water. |
