PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating tool with a valve which ensures the acquiring of a sufficient coating weight and is capable of applying a wide and a narrow coat. SOLUTION: In the coating tool with a valve of such a construction that a valve element 12 arranged on an inner face is brought into contact under pressure with a valve seat by a spring member 14 in a tip barrel part 8 with a long diameter and a short diameter formed on a tip face and the valve element 12 is arranged with its tip part protruding from the tip face of the tip barrel part 8, a means to restrict a backward movement is provided in the tip barrel part 8 or a barrel body behind the tip barrel part 8. Thus the tip part 15 of the valve element 12 is allowed to protrude out of the tip part of the tip barrel part 8. In addition, a protrusion 17 with a smaller width than that of the short diameter is formed inside the both side parts of the tip face of the tip barrel part 8 and a clearance for a liquid fountain is formed between the tip part of the protrusion 17 and the tip part of the valve element 12. |
