VERTICAL TYPE SMELTING REDUCTION FURNACE AND ITS REPAIR METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type smelting reduction furnace which may be easily repaired of the refractories in the furnace lower part of the vertical type smelting reduction furnace and its repair method. SOLUTION: The construction to independently support a furnace upper part 27 at a supporting frame 33 and to allow the division of the furnace lower part 32 further to a tuyere part furnace body 26 and a bottom furnace body 25 below the same is adopted as the construction dividable to the surface upper part 27 and the furnace lower part 32. The bottom furnace body 25 alone or the assembly of the bottom furnace body 25 and the tuyere part furnace body 26 is made separable downward from the tuyere part furnace body 26 or the furnace upper part 27 according to the damage of the refractories in the furnace lower part 32.
