PURPOSE:To heighten traceability for the waving deflection of a magnetic disk, by fixing a shield plate extended to the lower plane of a lower head along the lower arm consisting a pair of clip arms supported in such a way that they can fluctuate freely, at a carriage. CONSTITUTION:A pivot 3b is provided, and a loading spring 17 is loaded at a presser board 3, and an upper head 7, and a lower head 12 fixed respectively at an upper arm 6, and a lower arm 11, are provided so as to be energized in a direction to bring into contact closely in a state they face both planes of a magnetic disk 50. A shield plate 18 is fixed steadily at the tip end part of a carriage 2 by a presser plate 19 with screws 20 and 21, and it is extended to the lower head 12 along the lower plane side of the lower arm 11. Consequently, the desired shield effect of the lower head 12 for an external magnetic field can be obtained, and also, the pair of clip arms are lightened. In this way, it is possible to heighten the traceability for the waving deflection of the magnetic disk.
