PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-fat food ingredient for human or animal capable of easily cooking or processing in a simple operation by utilizing endosperm separated from guar seed as the principle ingredient. SOLUTION: The endosperm of guar including galactomannan of the formula as the main component is obtained after removing testa by heating and mechanically processing. The subject material is obtained by using this as the main component. The galactomannan is a dietary fiber having hard peptic and hygroscopic swelling property, suppressing caloric intake, satisfying the hungry and improving conspitation. This anti-fat food ingredient is also useful for pets and livestocks or the like. |
