PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further widen the way to the application of dolomite to foods by solubilizing dolomite as a carbonate mineral involving both calcium and magnesium. SOLUTION: The subject solubilization can be accomplished by adding dolomite to a solution of an organic acid, in particular, citric acid or DL-malic acid. By adding the resultant dolomite solution to foods, both calcium and magnesium subject to shortage in the Japanese can be taken in a well-balanced manner. |
