PURPOSE:To simplify the processing in a positioning processing part and to expedite the trapping processing by using a pseudo closed graphic. CONSTITUTION:In place of the closed graphic the pseudo closed graphic given by the collection of meshes is formed to examine a positional relation between the respective meshes constituting the pseudo closed graphic and an instructed point. Namely, a processing by a rectangular area extraction processing part 1, a processing by a mesh forming processing part 2, a processing by a pseudo closed graphic processing part 3, and a processing by a position decision processing part 4 are executed and whether a point instructed on a display screen is situated in the pseudo closed graphic 9 or not is decided. Based on this, whether the point is situated in the closed graphic 5 or not is decided.
