PURPOSE:To simplify the whole of the assembling of a keyboard, by integrating a plunger and a key cap. CONSTITUTION:The key cap 10 is molded with the plunger 19, and the plunger 19 is fitted in an aperture part 21 formed by a housing 20, and is brought into contact with a part 41 of an elastic dome 40. A chamber 14 on the full arc of wall parts 11 and 12 functions as a guide so that the plunger 19 can insert easily to the aperture part 21. By depressing a key, the plunger 19 advances into the aperture part 21, and deforms the dome 40. At this time, a part 42 of the dome 40 makes a flexible actuator 51 of a thin film 50 bring into contact with a switch part 52 if the enough pressing force of the key is given, and thereby, change is generated in a local electric characteristics, and the change is detected by an appropriate circuit group connected to the thin film 50 as an electrical contact.
