PURPOSE:To obtain a true circle of the section of a shaft structure under the condition of its use, by obtaining a distortion amount, given to the shaft structure so as to decrease its distortion to zero, from a measured valve of the distortion, generated similarly to that in the condition of use, and giving the distortion amount similar to said distortion in a normal temperature to the shaft structure. CONSTITUTION:A shaft structure 1 is ground to a true circle in a normal temperature, and distortion of the shaft structure 1 under the condition of its use is measured in each position in the peripheral direction for the true circle 10 in that time. After measurement is finished, on the basis of a measured value, the shaft structure 1 is ground to a non-true circle so that the distortion in the normal temperature, that is, the displacement of size from a radius of the true circle 10 decreases to zero under the condition of use. After grinding the shaft structure 1, if it is placed in the condition of use, the shaft structure 1 of true circle is obtained. In this way, when the shaft structure 1, ground to the non-true circle, is placed in the actual condition of use, the shaft structure 1, forming its sectional shape to the true circle, can be prevented from deflecting when the shaft structure 1 rotates.
