PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform optional polyhedron flat turning and its modification by synchronizing the rotation of a main spindle and rotary tool according to a purely electrical constitution, commanding a rotary rate, and selecting the number of blades of a rotary tool shaft cutter. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic unit 23 reads pulses and marker pulses generated by a pulse generator 22 and performs the positioning operation when starting the synchronizing control of the rotation of a main spindle 3 and rotary tool shaft 16 and does the rotation angle operation of the rotary tool shaft 16 obtained by multiplying the rotation angle set previously to set a command value. A detector 24 detects the rotation angle per hour of the rotary tool shaft 16, and an adder-substractor 25 adds and substracts the output of the arithmetic unit 23 and the output of the detector 24, and the rotary tool shaft 16 is rotated synchronizingly with the rotation of the main spindle 3 through a controlling device 26 and drive circuit 27. A main spindle motor 5 is rotated so as to be positioned at a fixed position on the basis of the main spindle motor command from an operation circuit 23 through a drive circuit 28.
