发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LASER MAGNETIC IMMUNOASSAY
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform detection from a very small amount of a specimen, by using magnetic ultrafine particles as the marker in antigen-antibody reaction, and separating and removing the unreacted ultrafine particles before irradiating a liquid containing a labelled substance with laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A specimen container 14 has a specials-shaped cross-section and laser beam 12 is incident to the container 14 from the large caliber end part and the small caliber part thereof pierces through a moving stage 26 through the opening part 32 of a permanent magnet 31. A motor 23 for guiding and concentrating marker magnetic ultrafine particles is operated to raise the moving stage 26. Next, the specimen container 14 is allowed to fall on the side of the small caliber part thereof and stopped at a marker magnetic ultrafine particle guiding and concentrating position coinciding with the scattering light detection optical axis of an optical system consisting of a lens, an ND filter and a photomultiplier tube. By this operation, the marker magnetic ultrafine particles in the specimen container 14 are gathered around the magnet 31 along with the movement of said magnet 31 to be concentrated in the small caliber part. The marker ultrafine particles concentrated by reciprocally moving the magnet 31 along with the stage 26 are allowed to move in the small caliber part of the container 14 in synchronous relation to the magnet 31 to facilitate the detection of scattering light. By this method, detection sensitivity can be enhanced.
