PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compatible optical pickup device recording/reproducing recording media with formats different from each other. SOLUTION: This device contains first, second and third light sources 25, 35, 45 respectively emitting beams with wavelength different from each other respectively corresponding to first, second and third recording media 10, three light incident surfaces 50a, 50b, 50c or which the beams emitted from the first, second and third light sources 25, 35, 45 are respectively made incident, a bicolor beam splitter 50 having an emission surface 50d transmitted through or reflected with the beams made incident through the incident surfaces 50a, 50b, 50c and emitted toward the record media 10, a convergent means 60 converging the beams emitted from the emission surface 50d of the bicolor beam splitter 50 on the record media 10 and phgotodetectors 27, 37, 47 light receiving the beams reflected from the record media 10 and through the bicolor beam splitter 50. |
