PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and weight by providing continuous tubular sleeves, each of which extends between a base section and a terminal section and multiple slender heat transfer fibers each of which is embedded in a proper base material, has heat conductivity larger than that of aluminum and extends in one direction of the longitudinal direction, and coupling each sleeve to the outer periphery of a tubular battery cell in contact with the battery cell. SOLUTION: A thermal sleeve 30 is provided with a fiber which extends between the base section and terminal section 36 of a sleeve assembly 22, embedded in a base material and made of a material having high conductivity and low density. The base material is polycyanate, a mixture of epoxy and polycyanate, or a proper connecting material. Aluminum is a desirous deciding reference for the physical characteristic of a sleeve assembly. Graphite is preferably used for the fiber, and graphite fiber is directed in the direction of 0 deg. or ±15 deg. relative to the longitudinal axis of the cell. |
