PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit the disk of a pirated edition and to protect a copyright by recognizing the class of an equipment, detecting superposed information concerning the consent of copy from video data and prohibiting the reproducing of a disk when the equipment is recognized being a DVD-ROM and information admitting one generation copy are detected and outputting the reason. SOLUTION: A copy consent information detecting means 108 detects superposed copy consent information from reproduced data. The detected information are transmitted to a disk reproduction stopping signal generating means 109. A disk identification code detecting means 107 detects the disk identification code added to video data or voice data to transmit the result to the disk reproduction stopping signal generating means 109 and the identifying of a disk is performed. When the means 109 judges that the copy consent information are of the copy permission of only one generation and the disk is a reproduction exclusive disk, the means 109 makes a disk reproduction stopping signal 114 active.
