PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image file management method capable of plotting and scrolling the image data of aerial photographs and satellite photographs, etc., at a high speed. SOLUTION: Since the image data are large-sized and plotting time is long, they are generally divided into areas and stored like an image file 9. Then, the image files are block-integrated by an area unit and hierarchically managed. At the time of plotting prescribed coordinates, a block including the coordinates is specified successively from a high-order hierarchy and the file is specified. Thus, compared to the case of not hierarchically managing them, the number of times of deciding the coordinates is reduced and high-speed plotting is made possible. |
