<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom on a selection condition, to efficiently maintain/manage a radio unit and to use communication with high security property by providing plural pieces of specified data for specifying the radio unit in the radio unit itself. SOLUTION: CPU 21 of a data collection unit 14 receives a command from a center 29 via a center communication line 28 and sends meter-reading data of electricity, water and gas from radio units 12, 12a and so on arranged in houses 11, 11a and so on to the center 29. CPU 21 permits respective radio units 12 hold call codes for specifying and calling a radio unit. Thus, the call codes for maintenance/management and extension functions, which can be communicated/used with the call condition of the high degree of freedom from CPU 21, can be set in the respective units. A function for change-permitting the call number of the radio units 12, 12a...25-27 is provided and the number is changed/allocated to a desired number. Thus, it is set to be the number which is made incapable of being viewed from outside and illegal intervention is made to be difficult.</p> |
