<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a delay due to a communication regulation from being increased in an asynchronous transfer mode ATM communication network. SOLUTION: In the ATM communication regulation system, an ATM communication equipment being a component of an ATM-LAN(local area network) or the like is mounted with an ATM communication regulation function 119, and the same cells of a cell stream being a component of a frame received from an input 114 (cells, 101, 102, 103) are distributed as an output cell and a discrimination cell at a branch point 116. A cell contents confirmation section 112 uses a cell required for discriminating communication regulation to retrieve a communication regulation table 113 thereby discriminating whether or not the cell is a regulation object. If the cell is a regulation object cell, the communication is regulated by discarding all cells of the frame or cells on the way of the frame or revising contents of the cell so that the frame cannot normally be assembled.</p> |
