METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATION USING PAGING CHANNEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid collision between paging channels by periodically changing a selected time slot in each pattern in a 1st cycle so that the selected time slot can perform cycles over selected time slots in each pattern. SOLUTION: A user's terminal 34 is arranged on the surface of the earth 14 and takes the form of a portable telephone handset as the user chooses. The terminal 34 tries to establish communication with a 1st communication satellite 10A by accessing a paging channel of the satellite 10A. It also desires to access the paging channel of a 2nd communication satellite 10B. Both the satellites 10A and 10B now communicate with a satellite earth station 36. The terminal 34 obtains larger reliability to access the system by being able to access paging channels of more than the two satellites 10A and 10B.
