A pressurised medium operating system, for a gearbox, clutch or brake, comprises a slave cylinder 10 pressurised by a pressure generating device, eg either by a master cylinder 4 or by a pump (101, fig 2). A pipeline between the master cylinder 4 and slave cylinder 10 comprises a flexible corrugated tube 11, eg bellows, which provides a thermal expansion joint and allows the system to fit in a given space. The corrugated tube 11 may be a metal or plastics bellows and may be connected into the pipeline by welding or push-fit connection. The corrugated tube 11 may be connected on both sides to a tube of the pipeline or, on the other hand, the corrugated tube may be connected directly on one side to the slave cylinder or master cylinder. |
