PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper fiber or paper powder from adhering to the surface of a photoreceptor drum and to stably continue recording with excellent image quality for a long time by changing the carrying direction of recording paper in contact with only the outside of the effective image area of the recording paper. SOLUTION: The recording paper laminated and held in a paper supply cassette is separated one by one by a paper supply roller and fed to space between a carrying guide 16 and a carrying auxiliary guide by a pair of feeding rollers, and its carrying direction is changed by 180 deg. in a state where both ends in the width direction thereof are guided by a supporting guide 17 formed in the guide 16. The guide 16 is formed of polyethylene resin, extended in the width direction of the recording paper and changes the carrying direction of the carried recording paper by 180 deg.. Therefore, the cross section of the guide 16 is formed to be semicircular and the guides 17 functioning as a guiding part for guiding and supporting both ends of the width direction of the recording paper are provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the guide 16. The guide 17 has such width that it does not intrude into the effective image forming area of the recording paper. |
