<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system where a mail with a high emer gency is informed and acquired via a public network and no telephone charge is imposed. SOLUTION: A mail with a transmission destination address and emergency information added thereto that is sent from a mail transmission terminal 21 is temporarily stored in a reception mail storage section 27 of a mail server 20. The mail server 20 references the emergency information at the arrival of the sent mail and dials a telephone number of a portable mail reception terminal 22 that becomes the transmission destination depending on the emergency. The portable mail reception terminal 22 extracts a caller number of a received call via an incoming/outgoing call processing section 4 and forcibly interrupts the incoming call without accepting the call when the call is identified to be from the server so as to recognize it that a mail with high emergency is addressed to its own terminal. The portable mail reception terminal 22 uses a telephone number of the mail server 20 to acquire a reception mail addressed to its own terminal having been stored in the reception mail storage section 27.</p> |
