摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an accurate speed, by utilizing information from a global positioning system(GPS) and at the same time canceling the influence of gravity acceleration even if information from the GPS cannot be utilized in a method for measuring the speed of a traveling body using an acceleration sensor and the GPS being provided at the traveling body. SOLUTION: The data of a GPS receiver 12, an acceleration sensor 13, and an angular velocity sensor 14 are temporarily stored in a storage means 17. When speed according to GPS information can be effectively used, an acceleration sensor offset considering the influence gravity acceleration is calculated by an acceleration sensor offset calculation means 31 according to the GPS and the acceleration sensor. Also, when the speed according to the GPS information cannot be used effectively, an acceleration sensor offset considering the influence of the gravity acceleration is calculated by an acceleration sensor offset calculation means 32 according to the acceleration sensor. Speed is calculated using the calculated acceleration sensor offset.
