PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithographic printing plate having excellent printing characteristics (printing durability and water holding property) and improved printing quality and which is used in a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method, by incorporating a specified spherical fine particle polymer matting agent into a silver halide emulsion layer and incorporating a water-soluble polymer having specified functional groups into a physical developing layer. SOLUTION: This lithographic printing material has at least a base coating layer, a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical developing nuclei layer on a support and uses a silver complex diffusion transfer method. The silver halide emulsion layer contains a spherical fine particle polymer matting agent having 0.05 to 1.0μm average particle size. The physical developing layer contains a water-soluble polymer having functional groups expressed by the formula. In the formula, R3 is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, phenyl group, amino group or amidino group, and R4 is a hydrogen atom or amino group. In this method, the fine particle matting agent is used in an emulsion, and especially it is effective to use a polymer matting agent of spherical fine particles comprising an acrylate or methacrylate polymer. |
