The kit consists of a box with two compartments (A, B) separated by a partition (C). The first compartment (A) contains sterile instruments forgiving an injection - a syringe (S), needles (a1, a2), an antiseptic swab (T) and an adhesive dressing (PA). The same compartment can contain an ampoule (AMP) of medication inside a plastic bag (SP) which allows it to be broken without cutting the fingers. The other compartment (B) is designed to hold used and contaminated items from the first compartment (A), and it is closed save for a single aperture which allows used items to be inserted for disposal, but not retrieved. The aperture is designed so that a used needle on the end of a syringe can be deposited in it without having to touch the needle. |
