PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the gap precision of abutments and to improve productivity by forming the outer periphery of an outer diameter face side step section having a composite step shape into an inward gradient toward the side face of a seal ring in the resin seal ring having the abutments with the composite step shape. SOLUTION: This resin seal ring 1 is formed into a rectangular cross section having opposite abutments with a composite step shape, and it is adapted as an oil seal ring of an automatic transmission, for example. The outer periphery 4a of an outer diameter face side step section 4 is formed into an inward gradient toward the side face 1d of the seal ring 1 at the portion of the abutments. When the seal ring 1 is half-split into the outer diameter side and inner diameter side by a broken line 1e, the angle θ of the inward gradient against the broken line 1e is set to 2-30 deg., preferably 2-15 deg.. An outer diameter face side lug 3 coupled with the outer diameter face side step section 4 is formed into an inward gradient to be complementarily coupled with the outer diameter face side step section 4. |
