IC CARD STORING UNIT FOR STORAGE OF ELECTRONIC MONEY AND MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR THE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the effective transactions of electronic money between a storing unit and plural IC cards by confirming the states of stored IC cards and selecting these cards against the transaction request that is given from an external IC card. SOLUTION: A maintenance client 6 establishes a maintenance connection to an IC card storing unit 1 and outputs a maintenance service start request. The unit 1 authenticates the maintenance service requester and then checks the states of IC cards to notify the client 6 of the information on all IC cards. A transaction client 5 receives an electronic money transaction request from an end user 8 and establishes a transaction connection 11 to the unit 1. The unit 1 authenticates the transaction requester and allocates an IC card for the transaction with the user 8. Thus, the effective shift is attained for the electronic money.
