摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an electrode for a highly reliable alkaline storage battery, of which core material strength in a lead mounting part is reinforced, of which burrs in a lead welded part are covered, and which is prevented from generating internal short-circuit in an electrode group, when the battery is constituted. SOLUTION: An active material is filled into spaces of spongelike metal porous substrate having the spaces provided three-dimensionally and successively, a substrate is compressed, ultrasonic vibration is applied thereafter to one portion of the substrate to cauge the active material to fall off, a lead mounting part 3 is formed through compression, a lead 4 having a width narrower than the width of the mounting part 3 is resistance-welded to the mounting part 3, and then the lead mounting part 3 is coated with a thermally fused polypropylene resin 5 to be solidified.
