摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage doubler circuit capable of attaining cost reduction and improved power factor. SOLUTION: A first rectifier circuit is formed by diodes D1, D2a connected in the forward direction, diodes D3a, D4a connected in the reverse direction with respect to the positive-cycle input voltage of a single-phase AC power supply AC, and smoothing capacitors C2a, C3a which are equal in capacity to each other. A second rectifier circuit is formed of diodes D5, D2b connected in the forward direction, diodes D3b, D4b connected in the reverse direction, to the negative-cycle input voltage of the single-phase AC power supply AC, and smoothing capacitors C2b, C3b which are equal in capacity to each other, A DC voltage, to which the output voltages of the first and second rectifier circuits are added, is supplied to a load R. Two smoothing capacitors which are equal in capacity to each other are connected in series, thus reducing the combined capacitance, and increase the active component of the effective value of an AC circuit current, thereby improving the power factor.
