LUMINAIRE WITH ANTIBACTERIAL FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an antibacterial effect by a simple facility without using a specific installing space by installing a translucent cover in part of an arc tube mount so as to cover the arc tube, and carrying an antibacterial agent on the outer surface of the arc tube and on inner and outer surfaces of a translucent cover main body. SOLUTION: An antibacterial agent is carried on the outer surface of a glass tube of a circular tube fluorescent lamp 13 and a phosphor is applied to the inner surface of a glass tube. The antibacterial agent is also carried on the inner and outer surfaces of a translucent cover 14 main body. The antibacterial agent mainly comprising silver is emulsified together with acrylic resin, and emulsion obtained is sprayed, and dried at a room temperature to carry the antibacterial agent. In a sealed luminaire, the antibacterial agent is carried even on the inner surface in addition to the outer surface. The proliferation of bacteria inside the luminaire can be suppressed in addition to the antibacterial effect to the floating bacteria in the air.
