PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the portable videophone with low power consumption and a small size at a low cost by using one control unit to manage collectively pluralities of video images so as to attain optimum processing efficiently. SOLUTION: Components 201-204 are for a 1st camera section and components 205-208 configure a 2nd camera section. The 1st and 2nd camera sections are controlled by a single CPU 230 and a photographed video image and a voice signal picked up by a microphone 209 are sent to a destination terminal and a display device 305 displays and a speaker 216 sounds the similar information from the destination terminal.
