PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inexpensive laminated varistor having good characteristics. SOLUTION: A laminated varistor containing ZnO as the main component of its ceramic, laminated body also contains Al, Bi, Co, Mn, one or more elements selected from among Sb and Sn, Y, Si, and B at ratios of 100-350 ppm (Al2 O3 equivalent), 1-3 mol.% (Bi2 O3 equivalent), 0.1-1.5 mol.% (Co2 O3 equivalent), 0.1-1.0 mol.% (MnO equivalent), 0.1-2 mol.% (SbO3/2 or SnO equivalent), 0-3 mol.% (Y2 O3 equivalent), 0.1-1.0 mol.% (SiO2 equivalent), and 0.1-2 mol.% (B2 O3 equivalent), with respect respectively, to 100 mol.% ZnO. In addition, the average particle diameter of the characteristic section of the varistor is adjusted to 0.9-3 μm. |
