PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a processing load on a control part and to quickly execute transfer processing by discriminating a cache hit at the time of a data transfer request from an external host equipment and transferring and outputting transfer possible data to the equipment without waiting a transfer indication from a system control part. SOLUTION: When the transfer request from a host computer 100 occurs, a system controller 10 executes reception processing of the transfer request. A buffer manager 21 recognizes respective retrieval condition setting parameters in accordance with the indication of a cache search and executes the search. When it is discriminated that a part or whole of data being a transfer request object cannot be transferred from a cache memory 20 by cache hit discrimination, a buffering operation concerning data which cannot be transferred is controlled in execution and also the transfer output of the data to the host equipment is controlled in accordance with that the data becomes transferable by the buffering operation. |
