摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate a stepping motor in a short time by a method wherein when switching the stepping motor from a low speed rotation to a high speed rotation, the amplitude of a driving signal is compard with the reference level to judge the position of a rotor and the driving signal for a high speed rotation is started from a state one step ahead. SOLUTION: When switching a stepping motor from a low speed rotation to a high speed rotation, it is judged based on the amplitude of a driving signal output from a first driving signal generating means 1A whether a rotor of the stepping motor is near a mechanically stable position. In the case that the rotor of the stepping motor is near the mechanically stably position, a second driving signal generating means 1B is instructed to output a driving signal for moving the stepping motor to a next mechanically stable position in the rotating direction of the stepping motor. By this method, there is no wasteful state at the time of switching the stepping motor from a low speed rotation to a high speed one and thereby the acceleration time required for a high speed rotation of the motor can be remarkably shortened.
