Corrosion danger estimation method for metal embedded in solid nonmetallic material especially concrete

The method involves a hole (2) bored in a material (1), a metal film (3) being inserted and a plastics material in hollow elastomeric cylinder (6) used to apply pressure by tightening a nut (8) on a thread. After a period of time, the film is removed and examined for traces of corrosion. The embedded film is a metal between 5 and 100 micro m thick e.g. 10 micro m.
